If your counseling grad school was in English, but you want to be able to give Spanish-speaking clients treatment, chances are you struggle with translating therapeutic terms. In this document, you’ll find useful therapeutic scripts, terms, words, and phrases that you can use to provide treatment in Spanish. I will try to update it as much as I can! Working with Identity, Culture, and Gender Training
A guide for mental health clinicians wanting to work with the Hispanic/Latine community. In this training/course, I talk about how identity, culture, and gender impact Hispanic/Latine individuals and how it might come up in the therapy room. I discuss different factors to consider when working with these topics, and I also go over some questions you can ask clients (in English and Spanish) to facilitate exploration around the topics.
