Thalissa Telleria, MS, LMHC, CST
I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Sex Therapist based in Miami, Florida. I was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua, and came to the US to pursue my undergraduate studies (and ended up staying in FL). I work with individuals and couples navigating life transitions, anxiety, relationship challenges, and sexual concerns.
I take a holistic, culturally sensitive approach, which means I integrate mental, emotional, and sexual health interconnectedly. As a bilingual therapist (Spanish/English), I’m especially passionate about supporting the Latine/Latinx community.
I believe you are the expert of your own life. My role is to walk alongside you, support your growth, and create a space where you can show up fully, without pressure or judgement.
About me, personally:
When I’m not in sessions, you’ll usually find me reading fiction books, catching a movie at the theater, or spending quality time with friends and family. I also love a night in with my significant other and our cat (Pepper, who you can see below).
I go to therapy myself and truly believe it’s important for therapists to do their own inner work. It helps me show up more fully and authentically for the people I work with.
My upbringing and cultural background played a big role in why I became a therapist. It’s also what sparked my passion for sex therapy—especially in helping people work through sexual shame and stigma. That personal connection keeps me grounded and reminds me why this work matters.
